Last week we told you about the news in the latest version of Google Stadia v2.26, which introduced the possibility of navigating the interface with a Gamepad or with the TV Box’s own remote control. Well, in this version 2.26, another novelty is available related to streaming resolution, now being able to choose up to 4K resolution with HDR. This option is found within the Profile> Performance options and is only available for the PRO subscription and for compatible devices that support 4K resolution, such as the NVIDIA Shield TV or the Xiaomi Mi Box.

Additionally, with the release of the latest Android 11 Beta last week, this week Google is putting the spotlight on Android TV devices, announcing that Android 11 will include Auto low latency mode, which is a feature of the spec. HDMI 2.1, and that it will disable post-processing and therefore minimize latency, reducing lag when playing games. Stadia will benefit from this new option and for this, devices compatible with Android TV will have to be updated to Android 11.

Stadia version 2.26 can be installed externally by downloading the APK, for example on the APK Pure page, and installing it manually with a file manager on Android TV such as Solid Explorer or File Commander.
